英文词的理据和文化的关系

论文基于有关词的理据和文化的理论，探究了英文词的理据和文化之间的密切联系。语言是文化的载体，文化是语言的内涵；文化影响并促进语言的形成，语言又反过来影响文化。每一种语言都是民族文化不断发展的产物，不仅具有悠久的历史，同时还具有丰富的文化寓意。每一个国家或民族都有各自独特的演变历史、社会体制、生态环境、宗教、信仰和传统习俗，那么也会有反映这些概念和事物的文化负载词。          因此，文化语境也同样赋予了词丰富的文化内涵。通过对大量典型例子进行分析，论文进一步阐述了英文词的丰富的内涵意义，特别是英文中文化负载词的文化意义和内涵，从而揭示英语词汇的理据和文化的密不可分的关系。论文的探讨旨在帮助英语学习者更多的了解英语文化负载词的意义，达到最佳阅读效果。

Motivation of English Words and Their Relation to Culture
 
ABSTRACT

This paper, based on the theories of motivation and culture, deals with the close relationship between the motivated English words and its relation to culture. Language is the carrier of culture, while culture is the connotation of language; language is influenced and shaped by culture, while culture is reflected and recorded by language. Each language, with long history and varied cultural implication, is a production of the development of an ethnic culture. Each country or nation has its particular evolution history, social systems, eco-environment, religions, beliefs and traditions, and consequently each language has its specific culturally-loaded words to reflect these conceptions and things. So the English words with rich cultural connotations are also qualified by cultural context. Through the analysis of many typical examples, this paper is to present the rich connotations of motivated English words, especially these culturally-loaded words, on the basis of which the close relation of motivated English words to culture is explored with the hope that English learners can have a better understanding of culturally-loaded words.
