 从文化角度看委婉语的翻译
摘  要

本文从委婉语的定义出发，指出委婉语的使用是指人们用不明说的、能使人感到愉快的或含糊的说法，代替具有令人不悦的含义或不够尊敬的表达方法。它既是一种语言现象，更是一种文化现象。委婉语是同时渗透于不同的社会生活与语言交际中的一种文化现象，其成长在很大程度上受着文化因素的影响，因此本文主要从三个方面对其进行分析，即民族心理和民族愿望的影响,敏感认知态度的影响以及政治环境的影响。为了加强不同国家、不同文化人们之间的交流，本文从文化角度探讨了委婉语的翻译，分析了在不同文化背景下作出正确翻译的紧迫性和必要性，并提出了四种翻译方法。

Analysis of Translation of Euphemism in Perspective of Culture
 
ABSTRACT

    This thesis starts with the definition, the origin, and the development of euphemism, and points out that euphemism is substituting an inoffensive or pleasant term for a more explicit, offensive one. It is not only a kind of language phenomenon, but also a kind of cultural phenomenon. Since euphemism permeats in different societies as well as different language communications, it is greatly influenced by culture. This thesis analyzes three cultural factors affecting euphemism, i.e., national psychology and ethnic wishes, cognitive attitude, and political environment. In order to promote the communication between people from different countries with different cultures, the author makes a study on euphemism translation in perspective of culture, analyzes the significances and the urgent requirements of working out proper translation of euphemism, and at last puts forward four translation methods specifically.
