歇后语英译初探
摘要
歇后语作为一种自然语言现象一直是学者们研究的焦点之一，其浓厚的民族色彩和独特的结构形式,是其他语言中所没有的。本文主要讨论了歇后语的来源、特点、结构，并在前人的基础上对不同类型歇后语的结构形式进行详细剖析的基础上 ,通过典型例句说明其翻译技巧。文中提出了直译法，译意法和直译加意译法，作者认为同一形象的歇后语，可以表达很多不同的意思，因此在翻译时，要从其背景着手；作者还认为歇后语的翻译应尽量通俗易懂，在表达清楚原意的基础上反应汉文化的独特魅力。了解歇后语，恰当使用歇后语，在语言交际过程中，不仅能增强语言的生动性和感染力，而且可以取得言简意赅，余味无穷的表达效果。随着中国国际地位的不断提高，国际交流也越来越多，范围也在不断扩大，翻译好歇后语，有利于让其他民族更深刻的了解汉文化博大精深的独特语言魅力，更好的体现国际文化交流的目的。

On English Versions for Chinese Folk Wisecrack
 
ABSTRACT

As a natural language phenomenon, Chinese folk wisecrack has always been the study focus of scholars. The strong national colors and unique structure of Chinese folk wisecrack cannot be found in other languages. They have described Chinese folk wisecrack from multi-angle in details, but there is little researches about its translation skills and methods. This paper mainly discussed the sources, features, structure of Chinese folk wisecrack and the author takes some concrete examples to describe the translation skills according to different types of Chinese folk wisecrack based on previous studies. Literal translation, free translation and combination literal translation with free translation were purposed in the paper. The author holds the same image of Chinese folk wisecrack can express many different means that translation of Chinese folk wisecrack should begin with the background and easy to understand as much as possible. The author also considers the translation should reflect unique culture charm of Chinese based on clarity. Learning and proper using Chinese folk wisecrack in communication, will not only enhance the vivid and infectious language, but can also make concise and clear to the point. With the improving international status of China, more and more international communication occurs and the range is expanding. Well-translated Chinese folk wisecrack, will in flavor of other nations understand the unique language charm of Chinese better and reflect the purpose of international cultural communication better.
