浅析《麦田里的守望者》中霍尔顿的语言特点
摘  要

《麦田里的守望者》被认为是二战后美国经典文学著作之一，是一部极具争议的作品。文章着重从脏话，俚语，句法结构，夸张和语法方面入手，结合小说中的实际例子，运用语言学知识，分析了《麦田里的守望者》中主人公霍尔顿的语言特点。通过对小说历史背景的研究，文章探讨了主人公霍尔顿的个性化语言对小说中虚假世界和无形抗争这两个主题的揭示所起到的积极作用。经过以上分析，充分证明了小说中大量脏话、俚语的使用，使霍尔顿的语言极具个性化，真实地反应了20世纪50年代美国青少年的失落和孤独的情绪。

Analysis of Characteristics of Holden’s Language in The Catcher in the Rye
 
ABSTRACT

The Catcher in the Rye has been regarded as one of classic masterpiece in American literature. It’s a very controversial novel. This thesis mainly analyzes the five aspects of characteristics of Holden’s language, namely vulgarism, slang terms, the loose structure, exaggeration and wrong grammar. Each aspect is analyzed by applying the linguistics theory to the practical case in the novel. Through studying the historical background of the novel, this thesis discusses the positive effect of the protagonist Holden’s individualized language in presenting the theme of phony world and intangible rebellion. Basing on the above analyses, it fully proves that the use of vulgarism and slang terms makes Holden’s language individualized and reflects the American adolescents’ feelings of lose and loneliness in 1950s.
