Abstract

With the development of globalization and China’s boom in economy, more and more Chinese enterprises are expanding their business into the world market. Corporate profile plays an important role in the propaganda of the company, establishing a good company image and exploring world market. However, The translation of corporate profile has still no unified standard and hardly achieves the ideal effect. Resulting in many companies in the import and export trade is not a good time to show their unique business card of company, which lost a lot of opportunities for cooperation with foreign enterprises. Also caused some foreign companies and insufficient understanding of Chinese enterprises, the Chinese products in foreign countries known affected. This paper is to find a good way to solve the problems in the translation of corporate profile by the way of comparing some popular translation theories and accessible use of the internet. Prompted some companies have the potential to get some useful methods and theory, enhance the competitiveness in the international market, the enterprise product in time to get the customer's favor and trust.The paper first gives a brief introduction of the current situation of corporate profile translation, and then briefly reviews some popular translation theory, from the domestic to the foreign. According to the characteristics and functions of corporate profile，this paper is to find Skopos Theory is the best way to solve the problems in the translation of corporate profile and finally summarizes some basic translation strategies and methods.
