D. H. Lawrence (1885-1930) is an outstanding write in the history of British literature. During his short life, Lawrence had left us a wide range of works. He is perhaps best known for his long novels. However, his short novels do not get enough attention from the public and the critical field. Lawrence once considered the Prussian Officer as the best short novel of his works, and it has received considerable attention from literary critics in various ways. However, critics rarely interpret this short novel from the perspective of queer theory.

This article intends to interpret the Prussian Officer from the perspective of queer theory, trying to make a new conception about this novel
