The Analysis of the Online Model IELTS Argumentative Essays for Module A

摘    要

“雅思”(IELTS)即国际英语语言测试系统,分为A类和G类两大类,现己成为得到最广泛认可的最高级英语语言能力测试。雅思A类写作第二部分是议论文写作,其考试要求体现在四项评分标准上,分别包括:任务反应、连贯和衔接、词汇资源和语法的广泛性和准确性上。

经过调查发现中国雅思考生在写作部分的分数最不理想,他们参考的和学习的文章主要来源于网络,原因主要有以下两个:第一是网上的雅思议论文本身没什么问题,学生学习不到位;第二是网上的雅思议论文范文本身就存在问题,所以影响了学生的学习效果。

本论文依照雅思A类议论文的评分标准对搜集的60篇网络雅思 A类议论文进行分别评分,包括四项评分标准和总分,并归纳了不同档次的作文有多少篇,以及每一项评分标准在每一档次上的文章有多少篇,使本论文的数据更具有可靠性。

本论文的研究结果是网络上大部分雅思A类议论文水平一般,并不像我们想象的那么好, 这是造成中国学生雅思考试成绩不佳,尤其是写作成绩不佳的原因之一。

Abstract

The full name of IELTS is International English Language Testing System, can be divided into two modules, module A and module G, which has become the widest certificated and the highest level of English language ability test. The second part of IELTS writing is argumentative writing, and its marking standard is reflected by four marking rules, include task response, cohesion and coherence, lexical resource and grammatical range and accuracy.
It has been discovered that Chinese IELTS examinees got the lowest marks on writing part, and they always referred and learnt from the Internet, there are mainly two reasons follows: Firstly, online model argumentative essays do not have any problems themselves, but Chinese students could not learn well from them; The second reason is that there is something wrong with online model argumentative essays, so they affected Chinese IELTS examinees’ results.
The paper graded 60 online model IELTS argumentative essays which have been selected from the Internet, included four grading aspects respectively and the average score, and concluded how many passages are there in a level, included how many passages are there in a level by four grading aspects, which made statistics in this paper more perusable.
The research result of the paper is most of online model argumentative essays are not as well as we imagined, which made Chinese students IELTS writing is not ideally.
