自我身份的追寻——试分析《劝导》中的角色安妮•爱略特

摘要：《劝导》常被称为“二寸牙雕”，奥斯丁通过其细腻的笔触描写了女主人公——安妮•爱略特心境及行为上的转变与成长，并让读者切实体会到了主人公的内心感受。爱情仍是小说的主题，但是被赋予了更深刻的含义，主人公在获得幸福前得先学习如何堂堂正正的生活。
本文主要通过分析女主人公安妮十九岁到二十七岁自我身份的追寻，自我意识的觉醒过程来探讨女主人公的成长。首先探讨当安妮十九岁时迷失状态和原因。关于自身只了解到年轻并貌美，她主要的观念都是有教母拉塞尔夫人灌输的，关于自我价值，唯一的认识来源便是其外表。再次描写安妮觉醒的原因。安妮真正有自我意识直到二十七岁，这时她青春将逝，因此更多地关注其自身发展。
安妮被称为奥斯丁笔下最“完美”的女主人公的成长过程是痛苦的，在和初恋情人分手后的漫长岁月中，安妮逐渐成熟，自我意识逐渐觉醒，可以说是自我意识觉醒才“完美”了她。
更迭的年龄，思想及行为的转变，逐渐摆脱凯林区山庄的禁锢，接触面的宽广，自我教育等等都促使安妮自我意识的觉醒并成长，自我意识的强化，对自我才能的肯定，使得安妮正视自己先前逃避的悔婚，主动向温特华斯表明心意。通过对安妮自我身份追寻的过程分析，从而更好地理解女性成长，获得自我认同的过程。

Pursuit of Self-identity：An Analysis of Anne Eliot in “Persuasion”

Abstract: In Persuasion, Austen portrays the heroine’s change and growth, let readers experience heroine’s real feelings. Like previous novels, love is the main theme in Persuasion, but it is portrayed in a deeper way. Characters have to learn how to leave before they approach happiness. The novel puts emphasis on deciphering the heroine’s development from the age of nineteen to the age of twenty-seven. When the heroine is nineteen, she is unconscious of her situation, only knowing that she is young and has other chioces. At this age, she is pretty, and her concept is based on her appearance of beauty and someone’s advices. She gets her identity from the appearance of her body. The heroine becomes aware of her situation when she is twenty-seven. She is not confident of her appearance because she is not young compared with another self in nineteen. Therefore, she turns to develop her inside, which means that she begins to observe herself.
However, the heroine turns to be “perfect” because of the sadness and regret that are brought by breaking up with Frederick. After separation, she becomes mature and realizes whom she is and what she really needs. It can say that her self-awaking makes her perfect.
With changed ages, the heroine’s thoughts and activites change too. Her father’s controlling is decreasing and she is nor more locked in Kellynch Hall, meets more kinds of people, educating herself. The changes and what she does make her self-awake and find what she really wants, what kind of people she is. She faces the mistake made by herself when she is young, then correct it and express her love to Frederick bravely. She grabs her happiness. Her experience still encourage us now. Working hard for what we want. Finally, we could be the person loved by ourselves.
