平行文本在政论文翻译中的运用-以十七大报告的汉译为例

摘要：政论文的翻译在国际交流中的重要作用离不开翻译界对该理论的研究不断加深。20世纪70年代以来,语料库语言学迅猛发展,它的应用极大地拓宽了应用语言学研究的视野，为外语翻译研究提供了一种崭新的哲学思维模式。结合政论文文章的特殊性，展开平行语料在这个领域运用的研究有着现实意义尤其是在提升译者的自主性和灵活性方面。本文旨在通过对十七大报告中英文版本的对比学习，根据其中的翻译现象探索平行语料如何在政论文翻译中的运用。本文开始通过对平行语料库基本知识的学习，包括其概念、功能、使用方法的探讨，接着是将其与对比语料库进行比较分析。接着从翻译方法（策略），翻译表达（如一些具有中国特色的词汇的翻译），句式处理（长句、短句转换）词汇处理（增删，词性转换，四词翻译特色）等方面分析十七大报告翻译中平行文本的运用情况。通过分析比较，得出本文的结论：平行文本在政论文中的运用可以帮助翻译学习者熟悉政论文翻译处理技巧，进而提升他们的翻译能力。

The Application of Parallel Text in Political Translation- A Case Study on the English Version of the Report at the Seventeenth Congress of the CPC
Abstract: The important role that political translation plays in the international exchange can not be separated from the further theoretical study on translation. Since the 1970s, the corpus-based linguistics has rapidly developed. Its application has greatly broadened the vision of Applied Linguistics study and provided a brand new philosophic way of thinking for the translation study on the foreign language. Taking the characteristics of the political articles into consideration, it has practical significance in the study on the application of parallel texts in this area, especially in upgrading the translators’ independence and mobility. This paper aims to examine how the parallel texts can be applied in the political translation, through the comparative study between the Chinese and English version of the report at the 17th Congress of the CPC. At the beginning, we have learned the basic knowledge of the parallel corpus, including its concept, functions and its application method. Then, contrast analysis was made between parallel corpus and comparable corpus. Then the following aspects were taken into consideration when we analyze the application of the parallel texts in the translation of the report at the 17th Congress of the CPC, including translation method (strategy), the translation expression (such as the translation of some vocabularies with Chinese characteristics), the sentence processing (the conversion from long sentences to short ones) and glossary processing ( addition and omission, the translation of four-character structure, and the change of the speech). The conclusion which was drawn after analysis and comparison is that:  the application of parallel texts in the political translation can help the translation learners familiar with the translation strategies, thereby enhance their translation ability.
