汉语新闻新词的英译

摘要：随着全球化进程的不断加深，中外交流日益增加。新闻是信息传播的重要媒介，担负着传播中国前进与发展进程中新事物新思想的使命。做好汉语新闻新词的英译在宣传中国方针政策、推广中国文化、促进交流等方面都扮演着重要的角色。由于中西方文化及语言表达习惯等方面都存在较大差异，汉语新闻新词的翻译很少有直接对应的词语，给翻译造成了难度。本文将以基本的翻译理论为基础，通过分析新闻新词的词汇特点，探讨目前汉语新闻新词翻译存在的问题，重点提出相应的解决策略，旨在使新闻翻译工作者更好地做好中国的对外宣传工作。

The Translation of New Words in Chinese News
Abstract：With the deepening of the globalization process, the exchange between China and the west also increases. News is a crucial media for information dissemination, shouldering the mission of spreading new ideas in the process of China’s development. So the C-E translation of new words in the news is playing a significant part in promoting China’s principles and policies, popularizing China’s culture, and increasing the exchanges. However, as there are great differences in culture and language habits between China and English-speaking countries, equivalent English vocabularies for Chinese new words can seldom be found, causing difficulties in translation. This paper analyzes the lexical characteristics of new words in Chinese news, discusses the existing problems of new words translation, and more importantly puts forward strategies for the problems based on the basic translation theory, aiming at giving better solutions for the translation of news.
