民俗文化视角下的旅游翻译——以云南景点为例

ABSTRACT
    Tourism is a booming industry which has given rise to the need of translation of scenic spots. The prosperous development of tourism industry not only means foreigners travel to China, but also Chinese visit abroad. However, when traveling around, visitors will come across many problems such as liguistic misunderstanding or cultural gaps. Translation plays a main role in people enjoying scenic attractions. Because of English and Chinese folk customs originate from different living environment, the religious belief and myth, historical development and customs, etc, the cultural connotation tend to have great differences. In dealing with those full of the content of the cultural characteristics, we ought to be aimed at a specific situation of different processing methods, such as literal translation, liberal translation, literal translation plus annotation, borrowing, combination of literal translation and liberal translation. The thesis aims at analyzing some tourist translation examples of Chinese folk customs and culture in Yunnan，and discussing the current widespread translation problems of the tourism industry，particularly the mistranslation in Chinese folk customs and culture. Moreover, the thesis is also solving the problems of C-E translation in tourism，and explores the principles，strategies and methods of translating Chinese folk customs and cultures into English so as to promote the development of tourism.

                                   摘  要

旅游业的迅速发展迫切的需要观光胜地的景点和背景材料翻译，它的繁荣昌盛不仅意味着将会有大量的国外游客到国内游览，同时也意味着更多的国际旅游往来。然而，在游览的同时，游客又面临着许多问题，如语言误解和文化差异所造成的文化代沟都成为了游客旅游的一个阻碍。在这种情况下，良好的翻译就成为了不可或缺的一部分。由于中外民俗发源于不同的生活环境、宗教信仰、神话传奇、历史发展或民俗风情等，导致了彼此之间的文化内涵有着极大差异。因此在处理这些饱含文化特质的内容时，我们应当针对具体情况作出不同的处理方法，或直译，或意译，或直译加注，或套译，或直译意译兼用。文章分析了旅游翻译在中国云南民俗文化的实例，并讨论目前旅游产业中存在的广泛翻译问题，尤其在中国民俗文化方面的误译。此外，本文还探究了汉英旅游翻译的解决策略方法与原则，并着重研究了中国民俗文化在旅游翻译中的解决策略，以促进旅游业的发展。
