从《哈克贝利芬历险记》来分析马克吐温的讽刺和幽默
Abstract
This paper aims to study the sarcasm and humor of Mark Twain from the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. As a distinguished writer the books written by Mark Twain are very popular all over the world. The sarcasm and humor in the books of Mark Twain are very famous. However, some readers can not understand the sarcasm and humor in his books, so they can not know the themes of the books. In order to settle this problem, it is necessary to study Mark Twain’s sarcasm and humor. His masterpiece the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a marvelous book and it is a success from its first publication and has always been regarded as one of the great books of literature. This book tells a story about the United States before the Civil War, around 1850. Though the novel seems to be simply a “children’s book”, it describes the life of the American Midwest in the mid-19th century vividly. This thesis has chosen some typical examples to analyze the sarcasm and humor. After analyzing this book the readers will know Mark Twain is good at using sarcasm and humor to express his thoughts. His pen is his weapon and he uses it to criticize the society. Generally speaking, Mark Twain is an excellent satirist and humorist, and this thesis will analyze his two chief writing styles-sarcasm and humor for the readers.

本文旨在从《哈克贝利•芬历险记》来学习马克吐温的讽刺和幽默。作为一位著名的作家，马克吐温写的书在世界上是非常受欢迎的，尤其是他书中的讽刺和幽默。然而，有的读者不能明白马克吐温书中的讽刺和幽默，导致他们不能很好地理解书的主题。为了解决这个问题，读者很有必要来学习马克吐温的讽刺和幽默。马克吐温的《哈克贝利•芬历险记》从第一次出版就已经广受好评，所以它被认为是美国文学上的一本巨著。《哈克贝利•芬历险记》里面的故事发生在二战前大概1850年的美国。虽然这本书看起来是一本儿童读物，可是实际上它生动地描写了在19世纪中期美国中西部地区的人们的生活。这篇论文从《哈克贝利•芬历险记》里面选出了一些典型的例子来分析马克吐温的讽刺和幽默。马克吐温把他的笔当作武器，用他来批判当时社会上的丑恶现象。总的来说，马克吐温是一位杰出的讽刺家和幽默家所以这篇论文将会为读者分析马克吐温的讽刺和幽默。
