《简爱》与《飘》的女性主义解读

生活在男权社会与女权社会激烈斗争中的简爱和斯佳丽，是男性权威与社会传统的挑战者。她们都不同程度地体现了女性主义。但仔细比较，会发现她们之间关于女性主义既有相似之处，如她们都坚强勇敢、耐受力强、独立倔强以及她们均是传统与现代之间的矛盾体，又有不同之点，如在女性主义程度、坚强的女性开创精神、爱情观、对男权的依赖程度及与社会迎合程度上均有所不同。本文试从比较文学的角度，对这两个文学形象进行分析，以剖析不同文化背景下的女性意识，加深对女性主义的认识。

Abstract

Jane Eyre and Scarlett, who lived in the fierce social struggle of women’s right and men’s right, are the challengers in the patriarchal society. They both reflect feminism in various degrees. However, when comparing them carefully, the author of the present thesis can find that they have similarities about feminism, for example, they are strong, brave, bearable, independent and stubborn, and both of them are contradictions of tradition and modernity. But they also have differences, such as the degree of feminism, their female creative spirit, their vision of marriage, their independence of male power and the degree of catering to society. This present thesis tries to analyze these two literary figures in terms of comparative literature, in order to parse the feminism consciousness under different cultural backgrounds, and to strengthen the understanding of women’s consciousness.
