从生态批评角度谈华兹华斯的诗歌

Abstract
William Wordsworth is regarded as a great Romantic poet in the history of British literature. He is also the representative of “Lake Poets”. Before the 1970s, critics were mainly concerned about the Romantic ideas of his poems. With the development of global economy, how to handle environmental crisis has become one of the top issues of human beings. With the birth of ecocriticism, a new field of reading wordsworth has been opened up. From the angle of ecocriticism, this thesis tends to analyze some of Wordsworth’s representative poems, exploring Wordsworth’s ecological consciousness, which also intends to promote people’s consciousness of environmental protection and urge everyone living on the earth to be aware of the importance of posing a harmonious relationship with nature. This thesis is composed of four chapters. Chapter One is an introduction, giving a brief introduction to Wordsworth and his life. Chapter Two deals with ecocriticism and the feasibilities of ecological reading of Wordsworth. Chapter Three analyzes Wordsworth’s ecological consciousness. Chapter Four serves as a conclusion, presenting the significance of reading Wordsworth from the ecological perspective for the modern age.

摘要
华兹华斯是18世纪英国浪漫主义诗歌的开山宗师，有“湖畔诗人”的美称，20世纪70年代以前，人们对他作品的认识仅限于他诗歌中所表达的浪漫主义思想。随着经济全球化的发展，如何应对环境危机成了人类首要解决的问题之一。生态批评理论就是在这种契机下，成为二十世纪一种全新的文学思潮，生态批评的出现为研究华兹华斯开辟了新的领域。本文拟从生态批评角度重新审视华兹华斯的诗歌作品，以探究华兹华斯诗歌中崇拜自然，回归自然，谴责现代工业文明，与自然和谐相处的生态意识。论文第一章简要介绍了华兹华斯的生平简介。第二章简要介绍了生态批评的发展和从生态批评角度研究华兹华斯诗歌作品的可行性。第三章分析了华兹华斯的《序曲》、《咏水仙》、《丁登寺旁》等诗歌作品，探讨了蕴含于其中的生态意识，揭示出华兹华斯的生态保护主义思想。第四章得出结论：华兹华斯是一位具有强烈生态意识的人文主义者。他的诗歌体现出了伟大的生态思想，对当今人类社会可持续发展及构建和谐社会有很好的指导作用。
