用功能对等分析张培基散文翻译风格----以《笑》为例

摘    要

张培基教授致力于汉英翻译多年，可是迄今为止对其翻译风格的研究并不多。本文从分析张培基教授对散文名篇《笑》的翻译入手，尝试用奈达的功能对等理论进行研究，试图探索功能对等在散文翻译中的理论指导作用，从而研究张培基教授在散文翻译中的风格。
论文首先介绍了奈达的功能对等理论的主要内容。其次探讨了散文和散文翻译的特征及功能对等理论下的散文翻译的本质并论证了功能对等理论应用于散文翻译的可行性。论文第三部分通过对《笑》的译文从语言、修辞和文化三个层面进行分析。最后论文得出结论:张培基教授的翻译风格很好的契合了功能对等理论，其翻译风格即在考虑读者反应的前提下尽可能再现原作者的风格。

Abstract

Prof. Zhang Peiji has been devoted to Chinese-English translation for many years. However till now, there have been limited researches on his style of prose translation. This study is based on Zhang Peiji's translation of the prose Smile. The author of this dissertation would like to make a tentative study under the instruction of functional equivalence theory, and explore some helpful theoretical instructions on prose translation of functional equivalence theory, and finally analyze Zhang Peiji's style of translation.
The paper first introduces the main content of the Functional Equivalence Theory. Then the paper explains the features of prose and prose translation, and illustrates the feasibility of applying Functional Equivalence Theory to prose translation. In Part Three, the paper analyzes the translation of Smile on linguistic, rhetorical and cultural level. In the end, the paper comes to the conclusion that Prof. Zhang's style of translation accords well with Functional Equivalence Theory, and his style is reproducing the style of the original writer as close as possible while considering the readers' response.
