高中生口语交际失败的原因分析

摘    要

近年来随着我国对英语的重视程度逐步加深,对英语人才的需求不断增加,英语水平的高低尤其是英语交际能力的强弱也逐步成为衡量一个适应现代社会的综合型人才的重要标准之一。作为英语交际能力的一个方面,口语交际能力的最终体现无疑就是英语的交际能力,而口语的重要性是不容忽视的。然而,由于中国英语教育受到影视教育的影响,历来只重视读,写,而忽视了口头交际能力的培养;再加上中国学生英语学习过程中的一些心理特征,以及不端正的英语学习态度和语言环境的缺乏,共同造成了目前高中生英语学习 “费时多,收效低”的现状,同时高中生普遍存在着”不会讲、不敢讲、听不懂”的”聋哑”英语或者”中式英语”现象。他们既听不懂别人说的英语,又无法用英语表达自己的意愿,导致高中生英语口语交际能力低下,口语交际水平普遍不高。
本文运用访谈和观察的方法搜集材料和数据。通过对数据的整理和分析得出以下结论(造成高中生英语口语交际能力失败的主要原因有):①学生自身的心理因素,②学生对英语口语学习的不重视,③学生口语词汇及语法的不足,④中英语言思维和⑤文化差异以及教学方法的不适应。同时,文章针对找到的原因就应如何培养学生口语交际能力提出了相应的建议。本文旨在研究导致高中生口头交际失败的原因并试图找到解决该问题的方法。

Abstract

In recent years, English has been putting into an increasingly important place, so the demand of English professionals is rapidly increasing. The English degree, especially English communication ability has gradually become a standard to scale whether a person can be fit for modern society. As one part of English communication ability, the oral English ability should be lain an important place and be not ignored. However, in China, English education is effected by exam-education, so students only study reading and writing and pay less attention to oral English. Meanwhile Chinese students have some psychological factors in English learning; they have a not good attitude to English learning; and they are shortage of language environment. All these lead to an actuality that “long time, low effects” in high school students’ English learning. There are some questions in high school students that they can’t speak, dare not to speak or speak “Chinglish”. They can’t understand other’s English clearly and also they can’t express their own ideas by English. So high school students’ oral English ability is not good at large.
This dissertation was conducted with the method of the failure of high school students’ oral English communication. With the analysis of the collected materials, the study finds that several reasons contribute to the failure of high school students’ oral English communication. They are : students own psychological factor, students pay less attention to the oral English, the lack of oral vocabulary of students, the affection of different culture between western countries and Chinese, and the differences between western way and Chinese way of thinking. Then this dissertation will take some effective suggestions on how to improve students’ oral English communication.
