英汉语言性别歧视的认知分析

COGNITIVE ANALYSIS OF SEXUAL DISCRIMINATION IN ENGLISH AND CHINESE LANGUAGES
Abstract: at all times and in all countries, the sexual discrimination has always been a serious problem that can not be avoided and it imposes an impressive influence on language. In recent years, sexual discrimination in language has aroused a great interest in the academic circle and a lot of researches have been done on this topic. However, when viewed as a whole, the angles of these researches are mainly from the perspective of sociolinguistics. With the emergence of cognitive linguistics, we are provided with a new angle of view to analyze this phenomenon. This thesis gives a cognitive analysis of the sexual discrimination in language by using the categorization and metaphor theories. Through this analysis, it is easy to find that sexual discrimination in language has a tight relationship with our cognition. Furthermore, this thesis exposes the potentially cognitive barrier of the sexual discrimination in language. In the end, several useful methods to avoid this phenomenon are put forward.

英汉语言性别歧视的认知分析
摘要：古今中外，性别歧视一直是我们无法避免的一个重大难题，它对语言也产生了深刻的影响。近年来，语言性别歧视在学术界引起了广泛的关注，关于此话题的研究也有很多。但是，从总体上看，这些研究的视角主要在社会语言学。随着认知语言学的出现，一种新的研究视角也开始出现。这篇论文运用范畴化理论和隐喻理论对语言性别歧视进行了认知分析，通过分析不难发现，语言性别歧视与我们的认知有着紧密的联系。另外，这篇论文还揭露了语言性别歧视现象存在的潜在的认知障碍。最后，提出了一些避免语言性别歧视的有效方法。
