浅析中美“寻根文学”——《爸爸爸》、《喧嚣与骚动》主人公形象分析
摘要：“寻根文学”是新时期文化景观里最具文化意味的文学现象，国内学者也对此进行了较多的分析。寻根文学的产生离不开改革开放的时代背景，离不开西方文化、文学对本土文化、文学带来的冲击，但“寻找”本身说明了在本土的文化世界里，蕴含着支撑作家精神世界的力量。韩少功为“寻根文学”里最突出的作家之一，在《爸爸爸》中的寻根思想突出表现在丙崽身上，通过丙崽及周围寨民村落的形象，深刻揭示了残留在民族文化心态中的弱点，在对传统文化批判的同时也对现代文化表示了希望。
而在20世纪20年代的美国南方，突然涌现了一股南方文艺复兴，以寻根思想为主要内容。作家福克纳在《喧嚣与骚动》中描写的弱智班吉形象，一方面鄙视庸俗的资产阶级心理，另一方面又要继承南方传统，由此可见作者的矛盾心态。本文以寻根为导向，在许多已有文献的基础上，综合各学者的分析，提炼出这两个傻子主人公表象缺陷下所代表的不同文化差异，作为傻子主人公，存在三点类似的畸化特征：身体的缺失、语言的缺失、显性的恋母情结，傻子的这些表象特征具有明显的隐喻性，又在两个人物身上体现着作者不同的写作意图及所反映的文化差异。通过人物的深层透析，来分析他们各自所代表的寻根文化内涵。

On Chinese and American Root-Seeking Literature—An Analysis of the Protagonists in The Father Daddy and The Sound and the Fury
Abstract：Root-seeking literature is one of the most important culture phenomena in the New Period Literature. “Root-seeking literature” is the kind of literature aiming to seek the root of traditional culture, which may have existed but later disappeared with the passing of time. Also, in the 1920s,it appeared in the south of America and created a miraculous culture. William Faulkner is an important root-seeking writer, which is shown especially by the fool protagonist Benjy in his novel The Sound and the Fury. Till now, scholars at home and abroad have gained a mass of achievement in studying root-seeking literature. As everyone knows, Han Shaogong is one of the most famous root-seeking writers. In his work The Father Daddy, he described Whelp-Bing in a critical position. In order to analyze Whelp-Bing, the villagers and the hamlet, he exposited the weakness in residual mentality in the national culture. At the same time, he showed hope on the modern civilization.
On the other hand, in 1920s it appeared a Southern Renaissance in America. Root-seeking was the main content. William Faulkner was the important root-seeking writer. In his work The Sound and the Fury, with delicate characterization, especailly the depiction of the protagonist Benjy, he disdained vulgar mind of the capitalist class, also he proposed to inherit the traditional culture of south. We can see the ambivalence of writer. With an analysis of the three common features of the two “fools”: deficiency in physical body and language and Oedipus complex, this paper explores the different cultures presented in the two root-seeking novels.
