An Analysis of Cross-cultural Conflicts on  
International Business Activities
Abstract: With the development of globalization,the world becomes more and more integrated with a variety of different cultures.The exchanges between countries and regions are being more active especially in business communication . A lot of foreign enterprises did business in China, have made full use of Chinese resources and influencing Chinese economic a lot. Meanwhile, Chinese enterprises are learning good foreign management skills and also have a booming development.At the same time,because of cultural differences, the decisions which need to be made are always affected.There comes out the contradictions and conflicts on international business activities. Cultural conflicts are inevitable in such activities.People using different languages have different ways of thinking and the frictions among different cultures may add troubles in business activities ,even cause the failure in business activities.
This paper points out that the root causes of conflicts, among which the cultural and conception roots are relatively prominent, in international business negotiations are complex through applying the theory of conflict, moreover, this paper analyzes the cultural root by presenting the cultural discrepancy in international business negotiations, meanwhile it comes up with the effective method in avoiding such cultural conflicts , which is conducive to improve the ability of cross-cultural business negotiations practitioners as well as to promote the prosperousness of international businesses after analyzing numerous aspects such as language, religion, values, aesthetics, materials, education, social class and so on.

国际商务活动中的跨文化冲突分析

摘要:随着全球化进程的步步深入,世界各国也都渐渐的融为一体,各种不同文化的国家和地区间的交流越来越活跃,各国间的联系,特别是贸易之间的交流与发展已经不像十多年前那么罕见,国际商务活动的高潮更是一浪高过一浪。大量的外资企业涌入中国市场 ,充分利用中国的良好资源,对中国的经济发展产生了重要影响。中国企业的国际化经营活动也蓬勃开展 ,借鉴和学习国外优秀的经营手段。相应的,由于文化的差异和民族心理,常常影响到管理层的决策。于是中外企业在文化交流中的矛盾与冲突慢慢浮出水面。在这些活动中伴随着文化的交流融合不可避免地产生文化冲突。使用不同的语言也会有不同的思维方式。不同文化间的摩擦给商务活动的开展增加了麻烦,甚至直接导致商务活动的失败。
本文以冲突理论入手 ,指出国际商务谈判中冲突的根源是复合型的 ,但文化及观念型根源是其中重要的类型之一 ,并透过文化差异在国际商务谈判中的表现 ,从语言、宗教、价值观、礼仪、审美、物质、教育、社会等级等方面剖析了国际商务谈判中冲突形成的文化根源 ,进而就国际商务谈判中文化冲突的根源进行分析和探讨, 提出如何避免在商务活动中产生文化冲突的有效方法,有助于提高从业者跨文化商务谈判的能力和国际商务谈判的顺利展开 ,从而促进国际商务活动的繁盛。
