英语学习中电子词典的影响及使用策略


近年来,随着科学技术的迅猛发展,越来越多的英语学习者选择了多功能、方便快捷的电子词典(Electronic Dictionary,简称ED)来代替传统的纸质词典(Paper Dictionary,简称PD)。但是任何事物都有其两面性,因此关于电子词典对英语学习的影响的研究也逐渐增多、加深。在这些研究中多数是以电子词典对大学生、高职高专学生英语学习的影响为研究对象;本文则主要以电子词典对中学生英语学习的影响及使用策略为研究对象,以求其最终研究结果对中学生英语学习有所裨益。通过本次研究得知,电子词典对于中学生英语学习中的阅读、写作和翻译方面可以产生更多的帮助。在实验中分别有83.33%, 63.89%和62.50%的学生认为电子词典当他们在进行阅读、写作和翻译练习时电子词典是“非常有用”或者是“有帮助的”。此外,还可得知在中学生英语学习中最经常使用的一项电子词典的功能是“英文单词查询”。然而,不能被忽略的是仍有13.89%的中学生认为他们最经常使用的一项电子词典的功能是“游戏”。除了上述内容,本文还探讨了更多的电子词典对于中学生英语学习的影响特点。

The Influence and Using Strategy of Electronic Dictionaries on English Study
Abstract
In recent years, along with the rapid development of science and technology, more and more English language learners choose the electronic dictionary which is multifunctional and more convenient as a substitution for the paper dictionary .But just as the proverb goes every coin has two sides, more and more researches have been done which focused on the influence of electronic dictionaries on university and vocational college students’ English study. This thesis is mainly focused on the influence and using strategy of electronic dictionaries on middle school students’ English study. The aim of this thesis is to benefit middle school students’ English study with the findings of the researches. Through the research carried out in this paper it is known that electronic dictionaries are more helpful when they were used in these specific aspects of middle school students’ English learning they’re reading writing and translating . There respectively were 83.33%, 63.89% and 62.50% of the middle school students thought electronic dictionaries were very useful or useful when they were doing reading ,writing and writing exercise . It is also known that the most frequently used function of electronic dictionaries by middle school students is English Chinese translating , There was 44.44% of the students chosen that item . However which couldn’t be ignored is that there was 13.89% of the students have chosen games as the most frequently used function of electronic dictionaries . Besides those above , some other features of the influence and using strategy of electronic dictionaries on middle school students’ English study have been discussed in this paper .
