情景教学法在小学英语口语中的应用
随着我国经济的发展和全球经济一体化的深入,英语口语在人们工作和生活中变得越来越重要,但是中国当前的英语口语教学状况不容乐观。传统的填鸭式教学法缺乏教学情境,课堂气氛沉闷,教学效率低下,阻碍了学生能力的发展。而新课程标准要求教师采用有效的教学方法,让学生从被动的学习变为主动的汲取知识。情景教学法就是要求教师根据学生的年龄特点和心理特征,遵循认知规律,结合教学内容,充分利用形象,创设具体的情景,使抽象枯燥的语言变成生动具体的可视语言。本文作者通过实验的方式,对比分析了在小学使用情景教学法对英语口语的影响。
xx县一小学的两个班40名小学生作为受试对象参加了此次教学实验。本文作者试图解决两个问题:1)与传统的教学法相比,情景教学法能否使学生的英语口语水平提高的更多?2)情景教学法在小学英语口语教学中存在哪些明显的问题?
实验结果显示,情景教学法对学生的英语口语水平有正面影响。学生们普遍认为情景教学法能活跃课堂气氛,提高自己的学习兴趣,能使自己主动地参与到课堂活动中。

The Application of Situational Language Teaching for Oral English in Primary School
Abstract
With the development of economic globalization, oral English is becoming more and more important in our work and daily life. However, the current condition of oral English teaching in China is not very good. The traditional spoon-feeding teaching method lacks the teaching situation where the classroom atmosphere is positive, which results in a low efficiency of the teaching. However, the Situational Language Teaching(SLT) requires teachers to create a specific situation which is combined with the teaching content through taking good use of images according to students’ ages, psychological features, and the cognitive regulation to transform the boredom language to the visual, vivid and concrete one. The author analyses the influence to oral English caused by utilizing SLT in primary school teaching.
1)Forty pupils from two classes in a primary school in Laiyang County are subjects in this teaching experiment. The author tries to solve the following two problems: 1) Do students directed through SLT make more progress in oral English than those directed through traditional methods, such as Direct Method and Translation Method? 2) What are the obvious problems for oral English teaching when SLT is adopted in primary school?
The result of the experiment shows that SLT affects students’ oral English constructively. Most students agree that SLT is beneficial for activating the learning atmosphere in class, for improving their own interest to study, and for involving themselves in the relevant activities. Besides, they foster their self-confidence at the same time.
