中西文化差异对非英语专业学生写作的影响

语言是文化的载体。中西文化差异是影响写作的主要因素。多年以来，英语教师都把教学重点放在词汇、语法和口语等方面，却忽视文化差异对大学生英语写作水平的影响。这导致中国大学生无法熟练驾驭英文写作，在很多方面犯下错误，进而失去写作的信心，甚至每次写作时都变得焦虑不安。因此，培养学生的跨文化意识，使其了解西方思维模式显得格外重要。
本文旨在研究中西文化差异对非英语专业学生写作的影响，从措词、造句、语篇结构和思维模式等方面进行探索和分析。为克服文化差异对非英语专业学生写作所产生的负面影响，本文分别从教师和学生的角度进行分析，给出具体的解决办法。总之，在英语学习过程中，学生不仅要在词汇、语法等方面加强练习，更要掌握中西文化的不同之处，以便更好的提高自身的英文写作能力。

Abstract

Language is the important conveyor of culture. Cultural differences between China and Western countries are the main factors that influence the qualities of English writing. For many years, teachers place more emphasis on vocabulary, grammar, oral exercises, etc., ignoring the fact that cultural differences will contribute to writing difficulties for students. When students meet too many mistakes in their writing process, they will have the feeling to lose confidence and even become anxiety when they are writing. As a matter of that, it is very important to strengthen students’ intercultural awareness and get familiar with Western thinking mode.
This paper aims at studying the impacts of Chinese and Western cultural differences on non-English major’s writing. After an elaboration on the impacts on wording, sentences, discourses and thinking mode, this paper will supplies some specific methods for both teachers and students to overcome the negative impacts on writing caused by cultural differences. All in all, in English learning process, we should not only strengthen the practice of vocabulary and grammar, but also master the differences between two different cultures with the purpose to improve their writing ability.
