目的论指导下自谦词的汉英翻译
Nowadays, Chinese culture has becoming increasingly popular. Thus, innumerable foreign friends had paid more attention to Chinese culture, particularly the past cultures. If we want to show the specific Chinese cultures, it’s necessary to enhance the exchange between China and foreign countries.
Referring to the self-modest terms, innumerable publications have been made by some successful men both at home and abroad. Firstly, more than one interpreters make some researches on the Chinese self-modest terms. In Eugene Nida’s theory, the “functional equivalence”tells the importance of the fact that target readers should know the real meaning of source-cultural information. In addition to these foreigners, our Chinese scholars also pay attention to the relevant aspects.
This thesis present the proper Skopos theory terms and utilize a multitude of translation theoties to translate the Chinese self-modest terms in order to make people to have good idea of Chinese self-modest and Chinese culture briefly. Therefore, foreign reader can realize Chinese culture and laguage better. Beyond that, Chinese self-modest terms can make the kind of language full of variety. Beyond all question, it can make foreigner to have a clearer idea of Chinese culture and accelerate the flow of Chinese culture.
