饮食文化差异角度下的中式菜名英译研究
    随着经济全球化的发展,我国面临着越来越多的机遇和挑战,因此我们应尽最大努力进行国与国之间的文化交流。俗话说,民以食为天,饮食也是社会生活中最基本的方面。不同的民族和国家存在着各具特色的饮食文化,具有浓郁的民族性和多样性的特点,作为中西方文化交流的一个重要方面,饮食文化的交流是最直接的,也同人类生活密切相关。中西饮食文化的碰撞和交流丰富了全球的饮食文化。菜名的翻译直接影响到进入全球市场的饮食工业。本文将从饮食观念、饮食内容等方面来对中西饮食文化的差异进行分析,提出翻译的方法和技巧。正确的翻译可以缩小跨文化交际中的障碍。中西饮食文化将会在交流中共同发展,这对全世界范围内的文化交流将起到促进作用。

Abstract
 
     The opportunities and challenges arising in the process of economic globalization have made intercultural communication between different countries a common social phenomenon and desire. As a saying goes, food is the first necessity for the people, i.e. the desire for food is one of the most fundamental needs of human being. In fact, the special diet of a particular country is often a mirror of her unique culture. Thus, the exchange of cuisine culture between China and western countries constitutes an important part in even ordinary people’s life. The collision, exchange and mutual adoption between Chinese and Western food cultures will make themselves more colorful. However, owing to cultural differences, the poor quality of English translation of Chinese dishes may have a possible negative effect on the acceptance of Chinese food by global market. This thesis endeavors to analyze cultural differences from the perspectives of concept, content and puts forward some methods and skills in Translation. Correct translation of Chinese dishes can narrow the gaps in intercultural communication. This will play a significant role to promote the communication of different cultures in the world.
