对霍尔顿疏离和反叛的分析

《麦田里的守望者》是J.D.塞林格在1951出版的第一部也是唯一一部的小说。小说一经出版就广泛受到欢迎并多次再版。这也使塞林格成为了美国50年代和60年代的年轻人的代言人。本文主要对《麦田里的守望者》一书中的主人公霍尔顿考菲尔德的性格中的疏离感和反叛两个主要特点进行分析。这是一个颇具争议的人物。
为了更好的支撑主题，本文由五部分组成。第一部分概述了塞林格的生平，创作生涯，简要介绍了《麦田守里的望者》的故事梗概。第二部分主要探讨霍尔顿的疏离感的来源其包括与环境之间的疏离以及其自我的矛盾的疏离。第三部分主要分析霍尔顿对成人虚假社会的反抗和对成长的反抗。第四部分分析霍尔顿性格中两个特点的成因。第五部分为结论，重申主题。

Abstract

The Catcher in the Rye is Jerome David Salinger’s first and single novel published in 1951. It enjoyed the immediate popularity in America soon after its publication and has been reprinted again and again. Therefore Sailinger became the “spokesman” of American youth during the 1950s and early 1960s. This paper is going to analyze the protagonist Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye, who is a controversial figure, his alienation and rebellion, the two main characters of his personality.
To support the thesis, this paper is composed of five parts. The first part summarizes J.D.Salinger’s background and literary status, and briefly introduces the main content of the novel. The second part discusses the source of Holden’s alienation, his alienation from the surroundings and alienation from himself. The third part discusses his rebellion against the phony world and his rebellion against growing up. The fourth part narrates the cause of his two characters of personality. The fifth part is the conclusion, restating the thesis of the paper.
