美国俚语的特点及其实际运用

俚语是一种特殊的语言形式，是美国语言不可缺少的重要组成部分，他反映了文化影响语言的内在作用，还具有其他词汇不具备的独特风格，是一种极富文化含义的词汇，是美国文化的特殊载体。文章通过探讨美国俚语的特点及其实际运用两个方面进一步分析美国俚语的基本特征。每一种俚语都有其自身的历史和流行的原因，时过境迁，或改变其义，或转为标准语，或转为标准语，或继续用于某些场合。俚语已成为幽默大师及新闻记者所必须的工具，运用得当，可使语言显得快捷、简练、生动，也更富有个性和表达力。俚语的最大特点就是它的非正式性，其次还表现为幽默，生动，使人听起来耳目一新，但是也有部分俚语听起来很粗俗，难登大雅之堂。鉴于俚语的这些特征，在运用俚语时，一定要谨慎，否则就会弄巧成拙。

 The Characteristics and the practical Application of American Slang  

Abstract:Slang is a kind of informal language,which is usually used in informal occasions.According to Dickson’s study,American slang began with a ship called ‘mayflower’.Slang is a special form of language which is an indispensable part of American English.It not only reflects the intrinsic role of cultural influences, but also has a unique style.American slang is a very meaningful language which is the special carriers of American culture.American slang is different from standard language which is mainly reflected in some words and sentences.In American English，slang is an expression which is most close to people’s daily life and reflects the social requirements.The article will discuss the characteristics of American slang and its practical application to further analyze the cultural characteristics of American slang from two aspects.American slang is colloquial，concise，humorous，updating fast and innovation,which is reflecting American culture by the slang.Colloquial is the biggest characteristic of American slang.While it also performances for its humor，vivid and refreshing.But some slang sounds very vulgar and gauche.In view of these characteristics of American slang，people should be careful when using slang，otherwise they will be self-defeating.
