建构主义教学观及其应用

当前我国教育体制改革积极推进到了一个新的高度,确立了以素质教育为核心的教育知道思想,着力于培养学生的自主学习能力和创新能力的塑造。其中,于上个世纪80年代风靡欧美的建构主义(constructivism)给中国教育学科领域带来了不小的冲击力。建构主义教学理论被广泛应用于一些教学领域(如数学教学、语文教学等),随之形成了全新的建构主义教学模式,也取得了较好的教学效果。对建构主义教学理论的探讨和应用也引起了外语教育界的关注。那么建构主义教学理论是否可以用来指导我们外语教学呢?本文在已有研究成果上,通过对建构主义教学理论及其模式的阐述,分析其本身的局限性。通过对大学、中学、小学外语学习者现状剖析,得出该理论在外语教学中合理应用的建议。

An Analysis of Constructivist Teaching Approach and Its Application
 
Abstract: Constructivism, which swept Europe and America in the 1980s, has exerted great impact on Chinese education circles. Constructivist teaching theory has been widely applied in some fields, such as mathematics teaching and physics teaching, contributing subsequently to the shaping of a totally new constructivist teaching model, which in turn has achieved sound results. Constructivism also has captured the attention of language educators. Can it be used as a guide to language teaching? In this paper, the author gives a brief exposition of the fundamental concepts and principles of constructivism, followed by a portrayal of its significance and deficiencies. To further exemplify the shortcomings of the theory, a detailed analysis of learners of different language levels will be illuminated. The author concludes with suggestions to educators for a proper application of constructivist teaching approach.
