语篇分析在英语阅读教学中的应用

语篇分析是一种以韩礼德的系统功能语言学为主要理论根据的语篇分析方法,它通过语言分析来展示句子与句子的关系,尤其是句子和段落之间的关系。语篇分析的目的就是要通过语言分析使潜藏在语言中的连贯突显出来,以便人们重新加以审视。
阅读在英语教学中起着不可忽视的作用。传统的阅读教学只是注重词汇和语法的讲解,这中教学方法严重阻碍了学生语言水平的提高,本文试图利用语篇分析,希望对以后的阅读教学有所启迪。
对于语篇分析的研究给外语阅读教学带来了许多启示:
1.主动阅读是提高阅读水平的重要策略。
2.建立整篇结构,并找出作者的写作意图是理解的最后一步。背景知识在这里起到了非常关键的作用。
3.阅读的方式和特定的检测方式一致的情况下,阅读的成功率最高。

Abstract
Discourse analysis is a method of linguistic analysis, which heavily draws on the notions and methods associated with the systemic-functional linguistics developed by Halliday. It seeks to make clear the relationships between sentences and in particular the relationships between sentences and paragraphs. Discourse analysis aims at exposing the underlying coherence to help people analyze a text.
Reading plays an important part in English learning and teaching. Traditional reading pedagogy only pays attention to vocabulary and grammar analysis, which hinders the development of the students’ language competence. This thesis attempts to study the reading pedagogy from the perspective of discourse and makes practical and concrete suggestions as implication for reading construction of English majors.
The study of the thesis brings forth some implications for reading pedagogy of English majors:
1. To read actively to improve reading is an important strategy.
2. To establish the global structure and find out the writer’s intention for writing is the final step to comprehend. Background information is of great importance since reading is a process in which new information and background information interactively affect each other.
3. If the way of reading is consistent with the way of testing, the highest rate of comprehension will be achieved.
