《菊花》中女主人公伊莉莎人物形象

《菊花》是约翰﹒斯坦贝克的一篇优秀短篇小说。在这篇小说中，斯坦贝克塑造了一个男权社会里不能实现自己的社会价值，渴望与男性平等的女性人物，反映了美国社会20世纪30年代妇女的困境和命运。
 本文主要从分析伊莉莎的穿着、动作、对话，她对菊花的喜爱，以及她生活的自然和社会环境三方面来探究伊莉莎的人物形象，展现了女主人公伊莉莎在男权社会中的生存状态和心理历程。从而可以看出，在冰冷的男权社会中，这位普通的农妇被迫的蜷缩在自己的栅栏内，过着单调乏味的生活，她努力的压制自己对外界的好奇和渴望，虽然补锅匠的出现，曾使她流露出自己的真实想法，但最终她模糊的女性意识和梦想被残酷的粉碎。

Abstract

 The Chrysanthemums is one of famous short stories of John Steinbeck. In this novel, Steinbeck has shaped a typical woman, who can not achieve her social value in the patriarchal society, and is desire to be equal with men. The novel reflects women’s confusion and fate in the 30s of the 19th century.
 This paper analyzes Elisa’s character from the following three aspects, the heroine’s dressing, behaviors, and dialogues, her love for the chrysanthemums; and the natural and social environment, in order to present Elisa’s living existence and mental processes. From the analysis, we can see that in the cold patriarchal society, the ordinary peasant who has a boring life and tries to hides her curiosity and desire for the outside world, is forced to curl up on its own within her garden, though she flows her real feelings and ideas after the appearance of the tinker, in the end, her vague female consciousness and dream are crushed cruelly.
