汉语与英语亲属称谓对比研究

亲属称谓语是语言的一个普遍现象，不仅反映了错综复杂的人际关系，而且反映了不同社会中社会结构及文化的差异。汉语和英语的亲属称谓语完全不同。因此，本文通过语言和文化两者关系的讨论，最终指出其实语言是文化的一部分，对这两种不同亲属称谓语的研究可以帮助我们更好的理解历史和文化孕育及其成熟的过程。
    本文从以下四个方面进行论述：第一部分是对亲属称谓的研究背景、研究意义、研究方法及文章组织做一个简单的介绍。第二部分则是在分析汉语和英语亲属称谓体系的共同来源的基础上对两种语言做的一个调查，再根据两种亲属称谓的详细内容对它们的异同进行比较分析。而第三部分和第四部分，主要是从导致汉语和英语亲属称谓体系文化角度之间差异的原因进行探讨，包括等级制度和个人主义的影响。

Abstract
Kinship Terms are a universal feature of language, which not only reflect complicated interpersonal relationships, but also social structure and culture in different societies. Chinese and English kinship terms are quite different. Therefore, in this thesis, it is argued that language is a part of culture via the discussion of relationship between language and culture, which may inaugurate a research into the differences between kinship terms, helpful for understanding the history and culture in which they are bred and matured.
The present paper is divided into four parts. In the first part, it is a brief introduction to the research background, research significance, research methods and the organization. In the second part, it gives a survey of kinship terms in Chinese and English on the basis of their common sources. Then based on the thorough description of Chinese and English kinship terms, a comparative analysis of them has been made, including their similarities and differences. In the third and fourth part, they are mainly a discussion of the causes of the differences between Chinese and English kinship terms from the perspective of culture, including hierarchy and individualism influence.
