功能对等理论下商务信函的英汉翻译

商务英语信函为商务界带来了实用性、便捷性和高效性，而受到越来越多的关注。它不仅为商务界带来经济效益，也引起学术界一片翻译热潮。如今很多学者已经致力研究此领域，从不同角度探索了商务信函的翻译。
本论文应用了耐达的功能对等理论，并以商务英语信函的特点为基础，归纳了商务信函的英汉翻译原则。并且在正确原则、礼貌原则和动态信息对等原则下总结出六种翻译方法。这六种方法可以解决在翻译过程中出现的译文是否正确，用语是否礼貌，语义信息是否对等，文体信息是否对等，文化是否符合风俗习惯，以及读者的反应是否相同等问题。这些困扰的解决可以提高翻译的质量，促进读者对信函的理解。本论文中这六种方法包括：直译法、意译法、词类转换法、拆分法、合并法及省略法。

Abstract

The business English correspondence is given more and more attention, because of the easily application, convenience and effectiveness it brings to the business trading. It not only contributes to the business circle, but also promotes the formation of translation trend. So the translation of business English letters has become the hot topic for many years. And many scholars have studied in this area and applied many theories.
This thesis adopts the functional equivalence theory, proposed by Nida. Based on the traits of business English correspondence, E-C translation principles have been summarized. And according to the principles, the translation approaches are studied out. They include literal translation, free translation, conversion of word classes, division, synthesization and omission of words. These translation approaches can solve some problems, such as, the correctness of the translation, the courtesy of the translation, the equivalence of semantic message in translation, the equivalence of stylistic message in translation, the equivalence of culture message in translation, the equivalence of readers’ response, etc. with all the problems solved, the translation of business English correspondence can be improved.
