从“功能对等”理论看《绝望主妇》的字幕翻译

文章一开始介绍了字幕翻译的定义、分类和限制因素，并简单介绍国内外字幕翻译理论研究发展背景。以及介绍了奈达的功能对等理论及其在英语影视字幕汉译中应用的可行性和必要性。翻译的最终目的是让读者看到译文，所以翻译是否达到功能对等也应看原文、译文读者的心理反映是否对等。奈达的翻译理论可以被应用到各种类型的翻译上，影视字幕也不例外。第三章结合《绝望的主妇》分析了字幕汉译中功能对等的应用情况：在进行英语影视字幕汉译时，译者在功能对等理论的指导下，应采取直译和意译两种翻译策略和方法来解决功能对等问题。第四章是结论部分，概述全文。

On Subtitle Translation of Desperate Housewives
          from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence

Abstract: In chapter one, the article introduces subtitle translation definitions, classifications and constraints; the research and development background of subtitle translation theories in China and Western countries. Chapter two describes the feasibility and necessity of Nida's Functional Equivalence Theory and its Application in English Subtitle Translation. The goal of translation is to allow readers to see the translated text, so translations are to achieve functional equivalence both in text and the psychological reflection of the reader. Nida's translation theory can be applied to various types of translation and subtitle is no exception.The third chapter is about the functional equivalence theory applied in Desperate Housewives subtitle translation: during the English-Chinese Subtitle translation, the translator should take a variety of translation strategies and methods like literal translation and free translation to solve the problem of functional equivalence.The fourth chapter is the conclusion, outlining its entirety.
