中西文化差异的背景下礼貌原则在商务英语函电中的运用
就礼貌原则，许多专家学者已经做出了研究。本文首先就商务英语函电做了定义和分类，然后具体阐述了以利奇为代表的礼貌原则以及东西方文化间的差异。在研究方法上，提出了研究的问题，收集了数据并且进行了分类。在东西方文化差异的大背景下，本文具体的分析了礼貌原则在竞争，愉悦，合作，对抗四类信函中的具体使用，并且得出结论。

THE USE OF THE POLITENESS PRINCIPLE IN THE BUSINESS ENGLISH CORRESPONDENCE：UNDER THE BACKGROUND OF THE CULTURAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE EAST AND THE WEST
Abstract：Business English correspondence is an important communication media in international commercial activities, which can transmit information, reach the common consensus, make the deal, and show friendship to each other. A polite and decent correspondence can not only help one to put across his image of honesty, enthusiasm, high moral quality and good ethic of profession, but also bring a lot of commercial opportunities. This paper intends to study the use of the politeness principle in the business English correspondences, under the background of the cultural difference between the east and the west. About the politeness principle, many experts have done the research. The paper identifies the business English correspondence and makes classification, then make a specific analysis of Leech’s principle and the differences between the east and the west. About the research methodolody, the data is collected and classified. Under the background of the cultural difference between the east and the west, the paper study the different politeness strategies in four types of business correspondences
