汉动物词语的联想意义对比及其翻译

动物词汇是人类语言的一个重要组成部分,几乎所有的人类语言都包含了大量的动物词汇。它们反应着社会心理学,风俗,习惯,信仰和价值取向。
几乎所有的动物词汇都有他们特有的文化内涵,为了弄清楚动物词汇的文化内涵,我们首先要知道影响动物词汇文化内涵的因素:动物在人们日常生活中扮演的角色,动物特有的特征,和神话传说。
    在英语和汉语中,对于动物词汇的联想意有三种不同的情况:同一种动物在两种文化中有不同的联想意,同一种动物在两种文化中有相同的联想意,不同的动物在两种文化中有相同的联想意。
英语和中文都有悠久的历史。我们发现在跨文交际中动物词汇产生了某些误解和隔阂,所以去准确地翻译他们就显得非常重要了。于动物词汇的文化内涵和联想意,有三种翻译方法:直译法,替换法,和解释法。

Abstract

Animal words are an important component part of human languages, and almost all the human languages contain plenty of animal words, which have their own peculiar cultural connotations.
In order to figure out the cultural connotation of animal words, first we should know the factors that influence the cultural connotation. It is determined by the role the animal plays in the daily life, the unique feature of the animal, and the legend.
There are three situations of the associative meanings of animal words in English and Chinese: same animal words have different associations in two cultures; animal words have the same associations in two cultures; and different animal words have the similar associations in two cultures. Based on the cultural connotations and associative meanings of animal words. We have three methods for translating them: literal translation, interchange method, and interpretive method.
