关于哈代作品中宿命论的表现形式

托马斯•哈代是19世纪后期最著名的批判现实主义小说家，他非常关注穷人的命运，无情的批判现实世界，揭露社会的黑暗面，其作品以充满浓郁的悲观主义宿命论色彩而闻名。哈代除了重视小说的情节外，还十分注重人物性格、心理等方面的描写。本文着重关注哈代作品中宿命论的表现形式以及其重要意义。根据哈代对预示与巧合、景物的描写、习俗等层面的表述进一步分析他的宿命论。

The Expressive Forms of Fatalism in Thomas Hardy’s Works

Abstract

Thomas Hardy is the most famous critical realism novelist in the late 19th century. He focuses on the poor’s fate, criticizes the real world, and reveals the evil of society. His works are famous for the pessimism and fatalism. Hardy does not only emphases on the novel’s plot, but also pays attention to the person’s characters and psychological descriptions. This paper focuses on the expressive forms of fatalism in Hardy’s works, as well as its significance. According to Hardy’s expression of coincidence and omens, sceneries, local customs and other sides further analyze fatalism.
