《喜福会》中所表现的中美家庭观差异分析

 谭恩美，著名美籍华裔女作家，1952年出生于美国加州奥克兰。1987年，谭恩美根据外婆和母亲的经历，写成了小说《喜福会》，并于1989年出版该书。谭恩美不仅对美国文化有着切身的体会，而且对中国传统文化有着深刻的了解。独特的生活经历和体验成为她文学想象和创作的丰富源泉，注定了她的作品具有独特的视角和风格。
   本论文试从家庭观着手，从母爱，友谊，教育，称谓语和语言表达几方面展开论述研究谭恩美的小说《喜福会》。通过研究生长在美国并深受美国文化和价值观念影响的女儿们，与代表着中国传统文化的移民母亲们之间不可避免的隔阂和冲突，对中国传统文化与美国价值观的撞击加以叙述和概括，分析由此折射出的中美文化差异以及它们之间的冲突和融合。

An Analysis of Differences in the Home Value Between
China and America From The Joy Luck Club

Abstract

Amy Tan, a famous Chinese American authoress, was born in Oakland, California, in1952. In 1987, she finished The Joy Luck Club based on her grandmother and mother’s experience and finally published in 1989. Not only does she have the profound understanding about American culture, but she also gets an insight into Chinese traditional culture. Her unique living experience has become the abundant resource of literature imagination and creation, forming her particular angle and style.
The thesis is a tentative attempt at a home values study of The Joy Luck Club from maternal love, friendship, education, address term, and language expression. Through the study of estrangement and conflict between daughters and mothers, the paper examines the differences between the traditional Chinese culture and American values, and analyse their estrangement and conflict.
