交际教学法在初中英语语法教学中的应用研究


语法教学在外语教学中有着非常重要的地位。传统的语法教学强调阅读与写作能力的重要性而忽视了学生听说能力的发展。随着交际教学法在中国的广泛应用,提高学生的交际能力成为外语教学的主要目的。很多语言学家和一线教师提出了不少建议,其中反应了这样一种趋势:语法教学应该以交际和应用为目的;语法教学应该和交际教学法相结合以促进英语教学的发展。
本文作者在交际法原则指导下,进行了一项实验。选取的对象是初二年级的两个教学班。通过对两班期末考试成绩的分析,确定了两班在实验前英语水平相近。作者对实验班和控制班进行了后测,并在实验前、后对实验班进行了两次问卷调查。在为期四个月的实验中,对控制班采用传统的方式教授语法,对实验班则采用交际教学法。实验的结果表明,采用交际教学法教授语法比传统的教学方法更有利于提高中学生的兴趣,而且有利于提高中学生的语法水平。进而说明了,语法教学与交际教学法相结合更能促进英语教学的发展。

Abstract

 Grammar teaching has a very important position in English teaching field. Traditional grammar teaching emphasizes the importance of reading and writing ability and ignores the development of the students listening and speaking skills. With the widely application of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) in China, improving students’ communicative competence becomes the main purpose of foreign language teaching. Many linguists and teachers have put forward some suggestions, which of them reflect such a trend: grammar teaching should aim at communication and application; Grammar teaching should be combined with CLT to promote the development of English teaching.
  In this paper, the author conducted an experiment under the guidance of the principles of communicative approach. Two classes from Junior Two were selected as the research subject. According to the scores of the end-term examination, the two classes have similar English levels. A post-test was conducted to both the controlled class and the experimental class after the experiment, and two questionnaire surveys were handed out to the experimental class before and after the experiment. In the four-month long experiment, the controlled class was taught with traditional methods while the experimental class was taught with communicative teaching method. The results show that grammar teaching with CLT is more useful in improving students’ grammar level and increasing students’ learning interest. And it also reveals that grammar teaching combined with CLT can better promote the development of English teaching.
