英语专业八级翻译常见问题分析及应对策略研究

英语专业八级考试（TEM-8，Test for English Majors-Band 8）, 全称为全国高校英语专业八级考试，是由高等院校外语专业指导委员会主持实施的全国性考试。这是一项对已完成英语专业高年级阶段课程的学生是否达到教学大纲规定的八级要求进行的检查。英汉翻译部分是专业八级考试中很重要的一个内容，也是这些年专业八级考试以来得分最低的部分。
英语专业八级考试翻译由汉译英和英译汉两部分组成，每一部分为一个连续的篇章。两部分翻译试题各占10 分，翻译总比重占全部考试的20%。对英语专业的学生而言，专业八级考试中的翻译是对其英汉两种语言综合运用能力的测试，包括了对学生的词汇量积累、语法基础、语言功底、理解能力、表达能力、跨文化交际能力等的综合测试。
英语专业八级考试中的翻译测试要求译文要忠实原意，语言流畅。根据TEM-8的考试大纲和测试评分标准,本论文从1999年到2008年的TEM-8历年翻译考试中误译的典型实例入手，并且做了一份相关的专八翻译问卷调查来找出学生容易出现的错误以及容易出错的原因。
    本文通过对专八翻译试题的分析与研究，运用奈达和严复等人的翻译方法和技巧找出学生在专八考试翻译中存在的问题和不足，并从翻译理论和翻译标准对其进行分析，以期获得一些应对措施和方法，最终能为致力于TEM-8考试的英语专业学生提供一些帮助。

An Analysis of Translation Errors in TEM-8 Test and the Solution

Abstract: TEM-8, Test for English Majors-band 8 for short, whose full title is The National College English Majors-band 8 Test. It’s a National examination organized by Institutions of Higher Foreign Language Professional Steering Committee. Its aim is to review whether the students of English Major have learned the courses specified by the teaching program syllabus. Translation is an important part of TEM-8, meanwhile, it has been the most difficult part since most participators got the lowest scores from this part.
The translation in TEM-8 is composed of Chinese-English translation and English-Chinese translation, every part has a consecutive chapter. Each part of the translation has 10 points, the ratio of total points in TEM-8 test is 20%. Students are required to finish it within 60 minutes. Translation in TEM-8 acts as a means to test the integrated language capability of English majors, which is concerned with the accumulation of vocabulary and grammar, language foundation, understanding capability and intercultural communicative competence.
The requirement of translation in TEM-8 is to be faithful to the original text and have a fluency of language. According to the TEM-8 examination syllabus and the test standard for evaluation, I made a corresponding questionnaire to find out errors which are easy made by English major students in the TEM-8 test and analyze the errors comprehensively.
After analyze and research the translation in TEM-8 with the translation methods and skills of Nida and Yan Fu, this essay aims to find out the shortage of English major students when they faced with translation.Meanwhile,this essay analyze from the angle of translation theory and criteria to get some measures and methods for students who will participate in TEM-8 and need some help for translation.
