教材中的插图对幼儿英语学习的影响

本文通过研究《剑桥幼儿园英语1级A》中的插图在幼儿英语教学中的具体应用,探讨该教材中的插图对幼儿英语学习的影响。研究采用实验法,对苏州市一所私立幼儿园三个小班各25名幼儿进行了词汇测试。结果表明:(1)不同的插图呈现方式下幼儿记忆英语词汇的能力存在显著差异;(2)有插图教材比无插图教材更有助于幼儿记忆单词。(3)彩色教材比黑白教材更有助于幼儿记忆单词。本研究结果对于英语教材中插图的设计及英语教学具有一定参考价值。

Abstract

Illustrations are intuitive, and it can make up for the inadequacy of text. Illustrations have been increasingly applied to all kinds of books, especially in the language teaching material for young children. This article studies the specific application of illustrations in Cambridge Preschool English Level 1 A in children's English teaching, and discusses the effect of illustrations in this textbook on children's English learning. This study used experiments, and selected three small classes, each of which has 25 children in a private kindergarten in Suzhou to take the vocabulary test. Results show: (1) There is a significant difference in children's ability of memorizing English words under the different way of illustrations; (2)Textbooks with illustrations help children memorize more words than textbooks without illustrations.(3) The colorful textbooks help children memorize more words than black and white textbooks. The results have a certain value of reference for designing illustrations in the English learning textbooks and English teaching.
