xx县中学英语教学现状调查与分析


2l世纪,知识经济的发展使人类进入了一个学习社会。科学技术发展迅速,国际竞争也日趋激烈,当今国家的竞争已成为世界范围内的综合国力的竞争,众所周知,当今国际上,英语已成为世界性的通用语言,学习英语已不仅是与国际发展接轨的需要.更是我们学好科学知识的重要工具。而我们国家要想更好地对外开放跟上国际时代潮流,就首先应当使我国公民具备使用外语的基本技能 。所以进入新世纪以来,我国不断加大对英语教学的投入,现在我国的英语教育规模不断扩大,教学取得了显著的成就。然而,英语教育的现状尚不能适应我国经济建设和社会的发展,与时代的要求还存在一定差距。英语成为我国基础教育阶段的必修课,学生要从小学三年纪开始学习英语,一直到学到大学毕业。城市教育的硬件设施、师资力量及学生的学习条件都得到了很大的改善。与大城市相比,农村中学的英语教育常常被人忽视。
本次调查主要针对农村中学英语教学现状,,运用材料收集及问卷调查等方式,在河南省清丰县城关镇中学、清丰县第一初级中学进行了抽样调查。本次论文是在国家进行新英语课标改革的大背景下,主要考察了农村中学英语教师的基本情况;借助于统计数据,从教学观念、教学内容、教学手段、教学语言、教学方法、评价方式、学习策略指导等方面对河南省农村中学英语教学模式进行了分析和讨论。其研究结果对于进一步推进中学英语新课程改革及促进中学英语教学的科学发展具有重要参考价值。

A Research on English Teaching
in Rural Middle School of Qingfeng County

Abstract: After entering the 2lst century, the human society entered a learning epoch due to the development of knowledge economy. With the rapid development of science and technology, international competition is becoming increasingly fierce. As we all know that English is more and more widely used around the whole world and now English has become the world common language. Learning English becomes very important to integrate with international development. And English is also an important tool to learn science. In order to keep up with international trends of the modern society, it is necessary for our citizens to have the basic skills of the language. And now China continues to increase investment in English education, and the scale of English education has been expanding quickly in China, the English teaching has made remarkable achievements in the whole country. However, the current state of English education cannot meet China's economic construction and social development, and there is still a great gap with the requirements of the times. English has now become a required course on the stage of basic education. Students have to learn English form Grade 3 in the primary school, and then continue to learn English until they graduate from the university. In the urban areas, the Hardware facilities, faculty and students’ learning conditions of have been greatly improved. However, compared with urban areas, English education in rural secondary schools is often neglected.
Aimed at this case, this research made a sample survey in rural junior high schools of Henan province with the aid of materials collection and questionnaire. With the aid of the statistical data, the paper reported the survey results, including the mode of English teaching in rural junior high schools, teaching viewpoints, contents, aids, method, evaluation, guidance of learning strategies. The result is of value for the promotion and enhancement of English curriculum reform in junior high school.
