As a special translation research field, film translation has long been a common concern in the academic field. The eyes and soul of movie content, it directly plays a guiding role. Good movie titles should be adapted to the audience psychology of the national culture, highlighting the theme of the film; adaptation different language habits, give play to the advantage of language; conform to the movie business characteristics, transmission of advertising information, to attract people, stimulate viewers watch the desire to view. The all in the discussion of English film title translation strategies revealed an English film title translation methods, whereby Nida’s theory of functional equivalence in movie title translation methods were analyzed and compared, cite the literal translation, free translation, transliteration, three kinds of method to conduct in-depth analysis. The results show that the three translation strategies for the Chinese audience by title understand the content and essence of western movies is very useful.
