雅在英文歌词翻译中的体现

欣赏英文歌曲已经成为很多中国人的爱好活动之一，大部分听者需要查看中文歌词来理解歌曲的含义。在此过程中，歌词的翻译质量将决定读者的阅读体验。歌词是一种审美为导向的文本形式，因此歌词的翻译应强调“雅”的体现。以此为研究角度，本文研究了“雅”在歌词译文中的体现，以及在译文中传递“雅”的策略和要求。本文首先简述与研究主题相关的背景，表明研究的目的和重要性，通过先前对英语歌词翻译及对翻译标准“雅” 的研究分析引出歌词翻译“雅”的必要性。其次论述在歌词译文中“雅”的体现和“雅”的策略要求，最后得出结论，在歌词翻译中体现出“雅”十分有必要，而译者应当提升自己的语言和审美水平来完成这项任务。

Abstract

Listening to English songs has been a popular activity for many Chinese people. However, most listeners need to watch the Chinese version of lyric to understand the meaning of the songs. In this process, translation quality of the lyric will determine the reading effect of readers. Lyric is a kind of aesthetic-oriented form of text, so the translation of it should highlight the embodiment of elegance. Taking this as the research angle, the paper analyzes the presentation, strategies and requirements of elegance. Firstly it expresses the background, purpose and significance of the study, and give the necessity of the study through analysis of previous studies on English lyric translation and translation criterion of “Ya”. Secondly it describes the embodiment of “Ya” and the strategies and requirements of transmitting the elegance. Lastly it concludes that it is important to transmit the elegance in lyric translation, and the translator should master certain strategies and enhance its linguistic and aesthetic level to finish this task.
