华裔美国成长小说和文化冲突


Abstract:Chinese American Bildungsroman stories play an important role in American literature. The protagonists in those stories are vividly created through their special experience in the new and foreign culture by unique artistic style and writing technique. The process of their growing, development and maturity in the foreign culture reveals the suffering and difficulties in their lives, including racial discrimination and culture conflict, resulting in a great impact on and a sympathetic effect on readers. This thesis aims at tracing origins of Chinese American Bildungsroman stories, defining the conception and writing features. At the same time, the study on culture conflict innovatively broadens the research scope and provides theoretical support for Chinese American literature. It is worthy of great academic reference and contributes to the achievement of cultural fusion and the widespread of Chinese culture in American literature area.

摘  要:华裔美国成长小说在美国文学中占据重要地位,它们一般采用极具特色的写作风格和手法去描绘小说主人公在异国他乡的成长历程中遇到的异族文化分歧,从而与读者产生共鸣。本文的主旨是以华裔美国文学为大背景,追溯华裔美国成长小说的起源,界定华裔美国成长小说的概念并分析其写作特色,创新性地从文化冲突的视角对华裔美国成长小说进行研究,进一步扩展了其研究范畴,为华裔美国文学研究提供理论支持,对推动中国文化在美国文学领域的传播及发展具有重要学术价值和学术贡献。
