【摘要】

大学英语四级词汇学习策略个案研究——以xx学院学生为例

词汇学习策略在英语学习中扮演着重要而不可或缺的角色。英语学习者应该注重培养有效学习词汇的方法,以便达到更好的英语学习效果。许多学者和研究人员在大学英语四级词汇学习策略的研究上做出了努力。本论文总结了前人在词汇策略研究的主要成果,并且进一步指出了三种高效的大学英语四级词汇学习策略。分别是:词块法,联想法以及上下文语境法。
为了论证三种词汇学习策略的有效性,开展了实证研究。并通过采访来发现大学生在词汇学习中存在的问题。研究表明:学生对于长单词存在记不住,易遗忘的普遍问题。两次实验结果证明:通过作者提供的单词学习策略培训,学生对于新词汇的认知能力得到了显著提高。同时,本文又给出了英语教师在词汇教学上的一系列建议,从而使语言教师的课堂词汇教学更加有趣味性和高效性。

A Case Study of CET-4 Vocabulary Learning Strategies

Abstract: English vocabulary is an important and essential part in English learning. Learners of English should develop effective vocabulary learning strategies so as to facilitate their English learning. CET-4 vocabulary studying strategies is a hot issue explored by scholars and researchers. The thesis makes an overall conclusion of vocabulary Learning strategies and put forward three major strategies of learning CET-4 vocabulary in an efficient way, namely lexical chunks, associative learning as well as context-based learning.
  An empirical study is carried out to testify the effectiveness of the three vocabulary learning strategies and interviews are conducted to find out the main problems of students’ vocabulary learning. Research result shows that students’ main problem in learning vocabulary is that they find it difficult to remember and maintain the memory of long-letter words. The results of the two experiments signify that students’ capability of studying new words has been greatly enhanced via special tuition on vocabulary learning strategies provided by the author. In the meantime, the essay also gives a few suggestions for English teachers' reference so as to make their vocabulary teaching more positive and interesting.
