英汉数字习语的跨文化研究
数字是一种特殊的语言符号，它起初只是用于单纯的反映客观的物质世界的数量，大小及规模，但在人类文明的发展中，它逐渐被赋予了丰富的社会及文化内涵。无论是在人们的日常生活中还是在人类历史发展的历程中，数字一直都具有举足轻重的作用，逐渐融入语言形成人们朗朗上口的数字习语。数字习语是英汉习语中的一个重要组成部分，具有浓厚的民族，历史和地方特色。作为一种特殊的文化语言，它折射出了许多的文化层面，鲜明的体现了民族文化心理、传统以及特色，它们无疑已经成为各自语言文化体系中不可缺少的风景线。本文是在结合前人的研究成果下，主要对中英中数字习语民族文化观，英汉数字喜好和禁忌，数字习语差异溯源以及与时俱进等几个方面进行研究，在跨文化的对比下，希望能够对英语学习者更好地了解中英文化差异有所帮助。

Abstract : Number is a special kind of language symbol, it was first simply used to reflect the size of the objective material world. But in the development of human civilization, it has been endowed with rich social and cultural connotations. Whether in the people’s daily life or in the course of development of human history, numbers always have a vital role, gradually have been integrated into the language and formed catchy numerical idioms. As an important part of English and Chinese idioms, numerical idioms have strong national, historical and local characteristics. Therefore, numerical idioms belong to a special culture language, which reflects a lot of cultural level, embodies the national cultural psychology, tradition and features, and becomes an indispensable scenery line in the language and culture system. Under the presupposition of referring to the predecessors’ achievements, this paper mainly gives a cross-cultural analysis on numerical idioms between English and Chinese in the following aspects : national cultural view，favor and taboo , origin of diversity and the recent develpoment. Based on the cross-cultural comparison, it will be of great help for English learners to have a better understanding of cultural differences between English and Chinese.
