Abstract
Movies have already become an important part in people’s life with the development of our social economy and culture. More and more people walk into cinema to watch movie and feel its charm. With our country developing, a lot of English movies start to be introduced to our market. However, the movie title is very important to a movie, especially the Chinese title of English movie. A good Chinese translation of the English movie title can attract a lot of people and get more box offices in china market. The most important point is that we can get its cultural background and meaning from the title. This requires some excellent translation strategies, the Chinese translation title can match with this movie. This article mainly recounted the translation of the English movie’s title from two aspects. One is use some beautiful words when translate this movies, in order to attract more attention to get more box offices, another is direct translate into Chinese, in order to allow people to learn the content and meaning of the movie directly.
