人文主义女性--《威尼斯商人》中的女性形象分析

人文主义是文艺复兴运动的核心思想。它是新兴的资产阶级为废除封建主义而提出的要求。新兴的资产阶级呼唤人们去享受自由和平等。
人文主义女性的产生是在这次运动的一个大成就。在这次运动中，女性开始要求改变，改变地位，要求男女平等，从而享受与男性同等的权利和自由。她们也有追求财富和幸福的权利。
莎士比亚是文艺复兴时期文学的集大成者。他的戏剧和十四行诗是当时社会文学创作技巧的最高成就。不仅他的写作方式，还是他所表达的情感在当时社会上都是略胜一筹。而《威尼斯商人》是他著名的四大喜剧之一。在这部戏剧中，他以人文主义的观点、男女地位平等的观念，客观的描绘了像Portia等这样美丽而聪慧的女性代表。
Portia学识渊博，接受了新思想的洗礼，但仍然无法拒绝父亲为她所做的择夫的安排，仍然不敢直接以女装出现在法庭上她Antonio辩护。但更重要的是她愿意接受一贫如洗的Bassanio而拒绝了地位尊崇放的两位王子，然后又勇敢的站在法庭做着她丈夫无法完成的事—为Antonio辩护。
剧中还有两位勇敢的人文主义女性—Nerissa和Jessica。Nerissa跟随她的主人男扮女装出现在法庭上，这是需要多大勇气，但她却做到了。Jessica就更不用说，她勇敢的选择她心中所爱，并与之私奔。
人文主义女性是社会进步的一个表现，也是人性要求平等和自由的呼唤的结果。

Women of Humanism—an Analysis of Female Images in Merchant of Venice
Abstract： Humanism is the core idea of the Renaissance. It was the requirement by the rising bourgeoisie who wanted to abolish feudalism. The rising bourgeoisie requires people to enjoy freedom and equality.
The emergence of women of humanism in this movement was a big success. In this movement, women began to demand change, changing their status and requiring the equality between the sexes. Thus they can enjoy equal rights and freedom as the men. They also had the right to pursue wealth and happiness.

Shakespeare was a master of literature during the Renaissance period. His plays and sonnets were the highest achievements of literary skills at that time. Not only his writing method or the expression of his feelings at that time the community was slightly better. "The Merchant of Venice" is one of his famous four comedies. In this play, he described Portia and other representatives of beautiful intelligent women thought humanistic point of view, the concept of equality between men and women.

Portia was a woman of great learning, and she accepted the new ideas. But she still can not refuse her father’s arrangement to choose her husband, and she still could not be a woman to be in defense of Antonio. More importantly, she was willing to accept the poor Bassanio as her husband and refused the two princes. Then she stood in the court doing what her husband could not finish successful - to defend for Antonio.

There were another two brave women of humanism -Nerissa and Jessica. Nerissa followed her master and dressed as a man appeared in court, which requires much courage, but she did. Jessica was a brave girl who made a brave choice to elope with her lover.

The emergence of women of humanism was a performance of social progress. It also was the result of human being calling for equality and freedom.
