从翻译美学角度探讨中国古典诗词英译的美学对等现象


This thesis, based on Liu Miqing’s “Introduction to Translation Aesthetics”, proposes that the translation of classical Chinese poetry and Chinese aesthetic are inextricably linked, and has a long history of philosophical origin. This thesis recalls the first exploration of translation aesthetics and the similarities and differences in Chinese and western in poetry translation by absorbing lessons from experience introducing the concept of "aesthetic equivalence", and points out that it can be used as the standard of Chinese classical poetry translation.
Poetry is the oldest literary genre, which enjoys a long, rich and colorful history. Poetry is the most artistic school carrier, while the language of poetry is the best. It is harder to translate the Chinese classical poetry. The so-called translation aesthetics is a crossing discipline which can be applied to translation studies. Specifically, translation is a kind of aesthetic activity,in which an aesthetic subject (translator) convert the aesthetic object (the original) into the aesthetic object (that is, the translation) by trying the best to bring its subjective into playing. Translation aesthetics is the application of aesthetics, and research on translation theory and translation practice has important guiding significance.
Translation aesthetics and poetry translation seem to be reciprocal. Owning to the huge gap in the Chinese and western a language and culture, a "perfect translation" is unrealistic, That is to say, absolute equivalence in the translation practice could not be achieved. But this does not mean that we should admit untranslatability, but rather, a translator should carefully understand the charm of the original and translate it faithfully.

摘要
    本文以刘宓庆的《翻译美学导论》为理论基础,从美学角度,提出了中国古典诗歌的翻译与中国美学是密不可分的,并拥有源远流长的哲学渊源。本文先回忆了中国历代美学大师对于翻译美学的探索,以及中西方对于诗歌翻译的异同点,吸收并借鉴了前人的经验和成果,创新地提出了“美学对等”的概念,指出其可以作为中国古典诗歌翻译的标准。
诗歌是最古老的的文学体裁,源远流长,浩如烟海,长盛不衰,丰富多彩。诗是艺术性最强的学载体,而诗的语言则是精华中的精华。正因为如此,使得中国古典诗歌的翻译难上加难。而所谓的翻译美学是一门交叉学科,它将美体现在翻译研究中。具体地讲,翻译是一种审美活动,审美主体(即译者)通过发挥自己的主观能动性将审美客体(即原作)转换成另一审美客体(即译作)。翻译美学是美学思想在翻译领域中的应用成果,对翻译理论研究和翻译实践具有重要的指导意义。
而翻译美学与诗歌翻译似乎是浑然天成的。而由于中西方在语言及文化上的巨大差距,“完美的翻译”是不切实际的,也就是说在翻译实践中“绝对的对等”是无法实现的,但这并不是承认诗歌是不能被翻译的,只是译者在翻译时要仔细体会原作的韵味,试图尽可能地表现原文的思想。
