从文化对等角度看汉语流行新词的翻译

   汉语新词作为当代中国的缩影，展现着今日中国风貌（党佳旻 2012）。作为时代的一扇窗子，汉语新词的英译急需我们进行全面而深入的学习与探究（陈建民 2009）。为了方便中外文化交流，翻译发挥着极其重要的作用。汉语新词的英译，不仅能更好的展现中国现状，而且也能更好的满足中国学习者学习英语的需要。所以我们必须重视汉语新词翻译的重要性。在过去几年里，一些学者凭借个人经验与方法在这个领域中做出了重要贡献。然而，对汉语新词的英译研究因种种原因仍处于初始阶段，因此，文化的作用在汉语新词的英译中还没有得到足够的重视。鉴于文化在交流中的重要作用，本文将基于巴斯奈达的文化翻译理论基础，引用近几年一些学者和译者们对汉语新词的英译例证进行分析，旨在说明从文化对等角度进行汉语新词的英译是促进中外文化交流的佳选。

Abstract

    Neologisms, as the epitome of the contemporary China, give a picture of China today (Dang Jiamin 2012). As Chen Jianmin(2009)said that “Chinese neologism is like the ‘window’ of social life” . English Translation of Chinese Neologisms requires deep and complete study and research immediately. Chinese neologism translation is playing a very important role in making the cultural communication between China and other countries become convenient. Chinese neologism translation is not only a mirror to publicize China today clearly, but also a good need for many Chinese English learners. So we should pay more attention to the importance of Chinese neologism translation. During the past several years，some pioneering scholars have been made important contributions to the freshly new field by their personal experience or methods. However, Chinese neologism translation is still at an initial level for some reason. Therefore，the function of  culture  in Chinese neologism translation need to be emphasized enough. In view of the important role of culture in Chinese neologism translation, Susan Bassnet’s and Nada’s cultural translation theoretical foundation will throughout the whole thesis. And this thesis will quote amount of pioneering scholar’s achievement which have been made as examples to demonstrate that English translation of Chinese Neologisms from finding the cultural equivalence is a new and useful choice.
