从文化角度研究电影名称翻译The Cultural Study of Film Title’s Translation
Nowadays, more and more English films have been introduced into China as the development of culture exchange in the world. And Chinese films are also favored by foreign audience. At the same time, there are a lot of mistakes we can find on the translation of film titles. Film title, as we all know, is an important part of film language, and the first part to be directly confronted with the audiences, whose translation plays a critical role in promotion of the film production in the international film market. Also, film title is a portion of the social language, so it surely relates to aspects of the social culture, such as politics, economics, history, religion, etc.. Therefore, how to bridge the comprehension gap of the audiences from different cultural background is crucial to film title translation. And this paper will talk about it. Firstly, the importance of the film title’s translation is discussed. And then the paper will discuss the present situation of film title’s translation. In the following chapter, some methods of film title’s translation are introduced in details for the purpose of exploring the proper strategies of film title translation.

摘要：当今社会，随着世界文化交流的不断深入，越来越多的英文电影流入中国，许多优秀的中国电影也深受外国影迷喜爱。与此同时，我们往往会发现很多电影名称翻译存在明显错误。电影名称是电影语言很重要的一部分，是电影直接面对观众的第一个片段。电影名称的翻译，在国际电影制造业中扮演着很重要的角色。此外，电影名称也是社会语言的一部分，它涉及到社会文化的很多方面，如：政治、经济、历史、宗教等。因此，电影名称的翻译对于来自不同文化背景的影迷更好的理解电影、缩小文化差异起到关键的桥梁纽带作用。本文将重点从文化方面探讨电影名称的翻译，主要从电影名称正确翻译的意义、电影名称翻译的现状以及正确翻译电影名称的方法和技巧几个方面展开论述。
